Smashing! His many years of military service has provided him with a depth of knowledge that few others can match. He was able to clearly explain the high level strategic story while also providing us with stories of individual soldiers on the front lines.

We cannot thank you enough for the huge effort you made to make our visit so memorable. Most people confine their D Day Landings visits to the beaches, cemeteries and memorials. By adding the German element you brought out the difficulty of moving forward over testing landscape and fighting against well prepared positions. The visits to sites illustrated by excellent maps, supported by verbal descriptions of successes and failures, as the Germans were driven back into the Falaise pocket, brought the battle to life.
